The Guerin Catholic girls basketball team overwhelmed Herron 73-21 Saturday afternoon at the Eagles Nest for its third straight win.
The Golden Eagles led 42-8 at halftime and never allowed Herron to score more than nine points in a single quarter. Grace Hackett led Guerin with 16 points, six rebounds, five steals and four blocked shots. Sophia Fernandez added 10 points, while Hannah Bills scored nine points and Carly Hammons had eight points. Sydney Geis contributed eight points, handed out seven assists and made four steals.
Olivia Labus collected eight rebounds and made four steals. Danielle Mason handed out five assists and got four steals, while Nicole Cunningham made two blocks.
The Golden Eagles are 5-15 and play at Decatur Central on Tuesday, then host Lafayette Central Catholic on Friday as part of a girl-boy doubleheader.
