The Hamilton Southeastern girls basketball team toughed out an overtime Hoosier Crossroads Conference win against Class 4A No. 10 Zionsville 51-45 Friday at the Royals’ gym.
Southeastern led 15-11 after the first quarter, but the Eagles came back to go ahead 21-19 at halftime. Zionsville was up 33-29 after three periods before the Royals made their own run and tied the game at 42-42 at the end of regulation. Southeastern outscored the Eagles 9-3 in the extra period.
Sydney Parrish scored 17 points for the Royals, with Malea Jackson adding 13 and Tayah Irvin scoring 11. Amaya Hamilton pulled six rebounds, while Parrish also blocked two shots.
The Royals finished HCC play with a 5-1 record and is guaranteed at least a second-place finish in the league. Brownsburg leads the conference at 5-0; the Bulldogs will play Zionsville next Friday.
Southeastern is 15-6 overall, and hosts Pike on Tuesday.
