Heights girls wrestling team runner-up at state

The Hamilton Heights girls wrestling team again finished as runner-up in the Indiana High School Girls Wrestling state tournament, which took place Friday at Lawrence North.
The Huskies scored 64 points to clinch second. Penn ran away with the team championship by scoring 193 points.
Elle Hunter (at 88 pounds) and Markaela Pugh (at 106 pounds) both finished as individual runners-up in their respective divisions. Also placing for Heights were Kami Speicher (third at heavyweight), Alexis Harber (fourth at 182 pounds) and Adyson Baber (fifth at 152 pounds).
Westfield’s Melody Barrows placed second at 138 pounds, accounting for the Shamrocks’ 18 team points and tied for 21st place finish.
