The Carmel Clay Public Library is set to hold its annual 3D Printing Expo from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. This highly anticipated event, which drew over 2,000 attendees last year, promises to be an exciting day for technology enthusiasts of all ages.

The expo will offer live demonstrations, hands-on activities, and opportunities to engage with 3D printing vendors and hobbyists. Presentations by artist Bryan Ballinger and ZNYTH Technologies will showcase the use of 3D technology in creative and commercial projects.

“The 3D printers in our own Digital Media Lab are running constantly with objects designed by our library patrons,” Library IT Manager Peter Konshak said. “The expo gives people a chance to see firsthand how 3D printing is being used by artists, businesses, and everyday people to transform the way they create things.”

Since the library’s Digital Media Lab opened in 2016, 3D printing has been growing in popularity with all age ranges. In 2024, nearly 10,000 objects were printed on the library’s 3D printers.

The 3D Printing Expo will take place at the Main Library at 425 E. Main St. Registration is not required for any of the expo activities. More details about the events can be found at carmelclaylibrary.org/events.
