2nd annual Winter Pickleball Festival to take place at Grand Park Events Center

The REPORTER

The Holiday Pickleball Festival is once again set to take place at Grand Park, 19000 Grand Park Blvd., Westfield, beginning Friday, Dec. 13 and running through Jan. 2, 2025.

Organized by the Grand National Racquet Center (GNRC), this event features multiple tournament offerings, beginner and intermediate level clinics, sponsorship opportunities, vendor booths, and corporate outings. It is a collaborative effort involving GNRC, Indiana University pickleball coach Timber Tucker, and Grand Park Sports Campus.

The Holiday Pickleball Festival will utilize the Grand Park Events Center to hold fundraising tournaments and events during the 12 Days of Thanks & Giving, providing a unique venue for players to enjoy the sport during the indoor facility’s slower time of year and raise money to support many organizations in the area such as The Little Red Door Cancer Agency, Ivy Tech of Hamilton County, Westfield Youth Assistance Program, Westfield Youth Sports, Heart and Soul Clinic, Damar Services, and more.

GNRC Owner Birch Dalton recognized the opportunity to bring pickleball to Westfield ahead of the market in 2023 when there wasn’t a lot of options to play indoor pickleball in December. He says he is excited to bring this popular festival back again this year.

“Using the Grand Park Events Center makes sense to help attract major tournaments and events in the future,” Dalton said. “We know that a tremendous asset like Grand Park will create a unique experience for pickleball players.”
