24/7 DINK Pickleball will soon hold the grand opening of its tech-enabled facility, located at 12520 E. 116th St., Fishers, housing 20 indoor pickleball courts and offering access 24 hours a day with no membership fees.
The group will celebrate with a ribbon cutting with Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness, OneZone Chamber of Commerce President Jack Russell, and other key stakeholders and partners at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 before opening to the public on Saturday, Feb. 15. A former Marsh Supermarket-turned-60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art pickleball facility, 24/7 DINK provides players of all skill levels opportunities for leagues, lessons, and open play – easily accessible via its user-friendly app.
“Our goal with 24/7 DINK is to democratize the sport people of all ages have quickly grown to love and create a community hub for everyone to enjoy,” said John Hurley, co-founder and CEO of 24/7 DINK. “By providing options for everyone at an affordable, flexible pricing model, we are excited to open the doors to our tech-enabled facility unlike any other that will be the go-to place for pickleball.”
A key differentiator between 24/7 DINK and other facilities in the Indianapolis area is the technology that enhances players’ experiences, from the 24/7 DINK app, which allows players to seamlessly book matches with friends or other people with a similar skill level and sign up for leagues and lessons, to the screens at each court listing players’ names, scores, and more. The app is now available to download in the Google Play and Apple stores and is required for players to schedule play, pay for courts, and access the facility.
The $6 million investment in the former Marsh Supermarket at 116th Street and Brooks School Road demonstrates a commitment to the Fishers community, which has garnered widespread support both from elected officials and community members, who have long expressed their desire for the Marsh building, which has largely sat vacant for eight years, to transform into a place that can boost local businesses and benefit the community.
“The City of Fishers is thrilled to see 24/7 DINK open next month,” Mayor Fadness said. “We wanted to make sure the right business could make use of this prime location in the former Marsh Supermarket building, and this new facility captures so much of what makes Fishers special: a project spearheaded by innovative, tech-minded entrepreneurs who are creating unique amenities for the people who live, work and play in our community.”
24/7 DINK co-founders John Hurley, Chief Executive Officer; Scott Brenton, Chief Operating Officer; and Ben Timby, Chief Data Scientist are successful tech entrepreneurs, first lending their expertise to build companies like ExactTarget and Angi’s List during the budding days of Indianapolis’s tech scene.
The 24/7 DINK facility was developed by New City Development. Isaac Bamgbose, the founder and CEO of New City Development, has been involved in iconic real estate redevelopment projects including the Ironworks Hotel & Apartments and the Bottle Works District in Indianapolis, as well as their most recent marquee project, Hobbs Station.
