Effective on or after Wednesday, April 1, 236th Street will be closed in three separate phases for road rehabilitation. This 2-mile stretch of road is scheduled to be closed to all thru traffic until approximately Oct. 15.
The first phase is from east of Six Points Road (at Bridge No. 201) to east of Oak Ridge Road. The second phase is from east of Oak Ridge Road to west of Dunbar Road. The third and final phase is from west of Dunbar Road to U.S. 31.
Motorists will be directed to use the signed detour route of Six Points Road, 226th Street, and Dunbar Road throughout construction, while all affected land owners will continue to have access to their properties.
