Indiana Orthopedic Institute is proud to announce that nine of its orthopedic surgeons and two of its anesthesiologists are recognized as 2026 Castle Connolly Top Doctors®, a peer-driven honor that places them among the elite of U.S. physicians.
The Castle Connolly Top Doctors® distinction represents only around 7 percent of the nation’s physicians. In 2026, about 72,000 physicians earned the recognition of Top Doctors from a pool of more than 1.1 million U.S. physicians, according to Castle Connolly.
Physicians are peer-nominated. Each submission is evaluated by Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team to ensure every Top Doctor demonstrates excellence in clinical care and interpersonal skills.
“We created the Indiana Orthopedic Institute to provide patients with the highest level of fully integrated care and surgical skills, all while treating patients like family,” said Indiana Orthopedic Institute CEO Dr. Michael Meneghini, a hip and knee replacement surgeon and Top Doctor since 2013. “Our approach emphasizes clinical research and patient care to provide better quality at greater value.”
Indiana Orthopedic Institute’s honorees practice at its flagship Noblesville (Indianapolis metro area) outpatient surgery center as well as its Terre Haute and Fort Wayne locations. They specialize in hip and knee replacements, shoulder and elbow surgery, fracture care, traumaplasty, and anesthesia.
Having a team of surgeons and anesthesiologists, including leadership of the in-house perioperative clinic, is crucial to Indiana Orthopedic Institute’s outpatient surgery center model that integrates care within one team from start to finish to improve patient outcomes and efficiency.
