10 businesses receive bomb threats Thursday

Would-be business bomber bets on Bitcoin payoff . . .

Hamilton County Public Safety Communications on Thursday notified the Sheriff’s Office of 10 bomb threats received by 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13. Dispatchers began receiving the calls earlier in the afternoon and informed law enforcement officers of the threats.

According to dispatchers, the threats were made at various and apparently random businesses around the county. The caller in each case demanded Bitcoin crypto-currency. The bomb threats appear to be part of the numerous threats placed around the country. Local law enforcement officials are investigating the threats made within the county.
