Residents Encouraged To Meet Council Members At Council Connections Event

Members of the Westfield City Council are encouraging residents to discuss concerns with them at upcoming Council Connections events.

“The idea behind it is simple: give residents another opportunity to connect with us in their own districts,” said City Council President Jim Ake. “We are looking forward to hearing from them, answering any questions and working with them to make Westfield a great place to call home.”

The first installment of Council Connections is kicking off in District 1 and will feature District 1 Councilor Mark Keen, as well as Westfield’s two at-large councilors, Jim Ake and Cindy Spoljaric. Other events will be conducted in the future in each council district in the city.

The first Council Connections event will be held on March 7 at Carey Ridge Elementary School (16231 Carey Rd) from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Residents not sure of their council district can find out what district they live in by viewing this map on the city’s website: http://bit.ly/2mmZuQj.
